Instead of viewing reports, you may simply add them to the print queue and print them out all in one go, later. This may be a more convenient method of working if you have a large number of reports to print.
The main limitation of this method is that you are not able to view or edit the final report text before it is printed. Instead each queued report is sent straight to the printer immediately after it is created.
However, the report queue can be saved between sessions with Solar Writer, so if you need to stop printing and start again on the next day, this doe snot present any problem.
>> To add a report to the report print queue
1.In the Report menu click on Add to Print Queue.
The only visible change will be that the number of reports in the queue which is displayed on the right hand side of the status bar on the bottom of the Main Window will be incremented each time that you add a report to the queue.
>> To clear the report print queue
1.In the Report menu click on Clear Queue.
You will be prompted to confirm whether to clear all reports from the queue. If you confirm, then all the items on the queue will be discarded.
>> To view, edit or activate printing the print queue
1.In the Report menu click on View Queue.
This will display the Report Print Queue window, which lists all the reports already on the queue, and allows you to alter the status of reports on the queue. You can also release the queue (i.e. start it printing).
>> To save the report queue for another session with Solar Writer
When you exit from the program, if the queue is not empty, you will be asked whether or not you wish to retain the queue. Simply select the YES button in order to retain the queue. The next time that you start Solar Writer, the queue will already be in place, ready to be added to or printed.
