Printing a Chart

It is possible to print the currently displayed chart (or both charts if the current selected report is a synastry style report) onto a graphics capable printer which is installed in Windows. If you have a color printer, then the chart may be printed in color.

If you wish to print a report for the chart, then you must first view the report, and use the printing options which are available from the report viewer’s menu.

Before you print for the first time, you should ensure that your printer is connected and working, and loaded with paper. You can do this by using another Windows application such as a word processor, and printing a small sample of text. If this is successful, then you are ready to try printing from Solar Writer.

1.In the Chart menu click on Print Wheel.

This will display the standard print dialog box, from which you may select a printer, the printer properties, and the number of copies that you wish to print. Click on the OK button to send the chart to the printer.

See your Windows manual or your printer’s manual for further explanation on printer setup options. Typically this option is used to ensure that you have selected the correct page size for your paper, the appropriate print resolution (i.e. print quality), and any other options that your printer may allow you to choose, such as whether to print in monochrome or color.
