When entering a date, if a calendar style indicator (new style NS, or old style OS) is not entered, then Solar Writer makes the following assumptions:-
•If the entered date is on or after 15th October 1582, then it is assumed to be in the new style (Gregorian) calendar.
•If the entered date is before 15th October 1582, then it is assumed to be in the old style (Julian) calendar.
To enter a date on or after the 15th October 1582 which is expressed as an old style date, add the suffix OS to the entered date. Solar Writer will immediately convert the date into the new style calendar.
To enter a date before the 15th October 1582 which is expressed as a new style date, add the suffix NS to the entered date. Solar Writer will immediately convert the date into the old style calendar.
