>> To check for program updates

1.Click the Help menu, then click on Check for Updates

Choosing this item will cause Solar Writer to check its version number against the latest version number available via the internet. If your copy of Solar Writer is completely up-to-date, then you will simply receive a notification message to this effect. However, if a more recent version is available, then you will be asked whether or not you wish to visit the web page from which the more recent version may be obtained.

Note: This option requires a current internet connection. If you are not currently connected, you will be prompted to do so.

Note: Minor program updates are usually available for free to registered owners. However, from time to time there may be more major version updates available, and in this case you will be offered the opportunity to view details of the new version, or of ensuring that you have the most recent free minor version updates instead.

>> To register by email

1.Click the Help menu, then click on Register by Email…

This will display a dialog prompting you to enter registration details. When the details have all been entered, your default email program will be started and 2a new email created containing our correct email address and email body contents containing your registration details. All you have to do is then send the email to us in your usual manner.

Note: Please remember to re-register if you change your email or physical address or any other registration details, so that we may continue to provide you with support and product news as per your wishes.

>> To get technical support by email

1.Click the Help menu, then click on Get Technical Support by Email…

This will first prompt you to confirm (and edit if necessary) your registration details, and then your default email program will be started and a new email created our correct email address and email body contents containing various technical information about your program installation and your computer. All you have to do is add a description of the problem you have experienced, and send the email to us in your usual manner.

>> To submit suggestions by email

1.Click the Help menu, then click on Submit Suggestions by Email

This will first prompt you to confirm (and edit if necessary) your registration details, and then your default email program will be started and a new email created our correct email address. All you have to do is add your suggestion, and send the email to us in your usual manner.

>> To visit our website

1.Click the Help menu, then click on Visit Website

Choosing this item will open your default internet browser program and connect to Solar Writer creator’s website.
