The Ephemeris option tab is only visible for those reports that use the Swiss Ephemeris to calculate their planetary positions. This allows you to select the location of the Swiss Ephemeris files.
Solar Writer installs the Swiss Ephemeris into a folder called “SwissEph” which is a subfolder of the main Solar Writer folder, so this will be the default location unless you have already changed it.
Normally, the only reason for changing this is if you have another program installed on your computer that also uses Swiss Ephemeris files, and you wish to free up the space being used by this second copy of the same files. In that case, you may use this option to select the alternative location, and if this is successful, then you can safely delete the SwissEph subfolder from Solar Writer.
>> To select an alternative location of the Swiss Ephemeris
1.Click on the Browse button.
2.Browse the folder hierarchy on your computer until you locate the alternative folder that contains the Swiss Ephemeris Files.
3.Click on the OK button.
If the folder you have selected contains the correct Swiss Ephemeris files, then the displayed path will be updated accordingly. However, if the selected folder does not contain the correct Swiss Ephemeris files, then you will see an error message dialog, and the path will remain unchanged.
