Text lines

Text lines

Any other line than those shown above is considered to be a text line. Text lines are always assumed by the compiler to relate to the last keyword line that was read in by the compiler.

Note that any carriage returns or line feeds within the body of the text are ignored by the compiler. To force text onto a new line, a "|" (vertical bar) character must be used. Eg.

The quick brown fox jumped over these items:|A box|A tree|A hen

This will ensure that, when displayed in Solar Fire's interpretations window, the last three items each appear on a new line, as follows

The quick brown fox jumped over these items:

      A box

      A tree

      A hen

Because the compiler ignores carriage returns, it does not matter how many words are contained in each text line. You can put as many or as few words on a line as you wish. When you run Solar Maps, the interpretation text lines are automatically formatted to fit within the interpretations window, whatever its size.

The limit to the amount of text that can be entered in relation to any one keyword is that it cannot exceed about 30,000 characters (ie. roughly 500 lines of 60 characters width). There is no specific limit on how much text may be entered into any one interpretations file. In practice you will be limited by the amount of available disk space on your computer.
