Lunar Node Type

Lunar Node Type

The lunar node is one of the chart points which may be displayed in any chart. It is possible to select the lunar node as either the true node or the mean node.

•

True node - the real position of the Moon's node at any time.

•

Mean node - the position of the Moon's node according to a mathematical formula which ignores many of the minor perturbations in its orbit.

To select the lunar node type

Select one of the “Lunar Node Type“ options from the “Options“ menu.

A tick appears to the left of whichever option is currently selected. Any charts subsequently opened or calculated will have the newly selected lunar node type.
